Clutch cable...
^^ Point of engagement.
I'd do that, but unfortunately money IS tight for me. I'd like to be positive that's the issue, as sure as I basically am now, before throwing a new part at it.

Part #: MMCP-51
Manufacturer: Maximum Motorsports
best setup... the "ford racing"/Steeda aka made in Korea are garbage.... get a heavy duty NON-adjustable, and adjust at the firewall. I have had nothing but problems with the adjustable ford racing crap. They always break at the point where the cable is made onto the threaded rod....
So many kits that have the cheap adjustable cable, AND a firewall adjuster? Why have an adjuster for the adjuster??...
I recently put that MM kit in my car, takes about 20-30 mins to install the whole kit. Easy as hell to adjust (under the hood) No longer have to jack the car up!!

I have a stage two clutch in my car with a stock cable and still no problems...but my tob is bad and from what I understand its because I do not have a aftermarket cable...if thats true or not idk.
if the pedal is all the way down at the floor your not gonna be able to disingage the clutch.Sounds like you need an adjustable cable. Is there a lot of free play in the pedal ? Even with a bad clutch the pedal should still be pretty good
[quote=302GTS;706720. Also, this problem doesn't occur when the car hasn't been driven in a few hours or so. I drove it home from a friend's house this morning, and it drove/shifted fine. Can the cable be getting stretched out over the course of a lot of driving in a day, possibly? The POE is still slightly lower than halfway through the pedal travel, but not as low as it was last night.[/quote]
THIS is why i say pressure plate.....clutch cable would be a good upgrade at same time
just had 2 cars doing the same thing including my wifes...

It doesn't make sense to me how if I go drive it right now (been sitting for around 18 hours), it'll shift fine. Clutch will still grab kinda low, but it'll shift atleast and not bitch about doing it. If I drove it all day/night though, by the end of the night it'd start to really get tough. Plus, the clutch is only a couple months old...
