callout thread
Pics I took when I bought the bike:

Its got a 1900cc motor in it, however its pretty restricted from the factory. 90hp and 105tq. I don't think it'll be hanging with that VMax past the 1/8 mile at all, but holy shit does that big V-Twin boogie down low. They made an effort to smooth out the acceleration across the gears and did a damn good job of it...but a V-Twin is still a V-Twin. Peak HP is made below 5k RPMs, peak TQ is at like 2500. It likes to GOOOOO off the line.
And 120 at the rear wheel? You've got some work done to that thing, eh? I think they had like an even 100 at the motor from the factory, huh?

Oh and,.. I got some lines, fittings and a nozzle from my good buddies at All American.
The nitrous is going on in the Silverado. They are predicting mid 8's. I'm not so optimistic. I'm thinking more like low 9's,.. but we'll see. I need to talk to some LS1 guys to see how to make this window switch work with an LS1 style ignition,.. but even if I cant,.. I'll just watch the tach and use a button.
Its on Ruler,.. be a shame for that Moostang to lose to a 5500 lb truck.

V-max is a category of it's own. The mighty V4 has made it to motorcycles cult heaven. The men behind this monument on two wheels recall the making of V-max.
Debut in Las Vegas in 1984
Mr. Araki is General Manager of Yamaha motorcycle operations in Japan. In 1984 he was project leader of V-max.
Mr. Araki remembers: "V-max had it's first debut at the US dealer meeting at Las Vegas in October 1984. The bike was targeted for the 1985 season, to be sold in US first. It's key word was as simple as effective: American Hotrod. It's sensational appearance was very different from other typical American models at that time. So the bike became the highlight of the dealer show."
With 145 HP and a V4 1200 cc engine, the machine had the potential for the most powerful acceleration ever seen before on a road legal production machine. Soon after the US introduction also European journalists and customers pushed for introduction of V-max.
Mr. Araki: "We were a little overwhelmed by this strong positive reaction both from US and Europe."
Concept: strongest V4 motorcycle
Many motorsports fans enjoy the powerful acceleration of large displacement V8 engines. Also drag races had been actually recognized as a professional competition when Yamaha started a project to build a motorcycle with an image of a V8 hotrod. This was the start of the development of V-max. The concept for the development for the model was very simple and clear- to build the strongest bike with V4 engine.
here's a pic of mine
