Its so funny if thats that target audience the japs were going for back in the 80's with the VMax, I think they did a pretty good job, yet they still wont make a v8 rear drive car since they obviously know thats what americans like. Hmm....

 

Bikes and cars are two completely different things that cater to two completely different audiences.

For instance, did you know that many toolbag cruiser riders would make fun of 460 for riding the VMax, and probably even me for riding the Raider?

Speed doesn't mean shit in the cruiser world to most people; most people who want speed in bikes will just go and buy a sportbike - which even a 750 sportbike would absolutely decimate both his and my bikes without going WOT in the 1/4. We're an odd breed, the power cruiser riders.

My first time out there I turned times that were beyond laughable. Terrible, terrible times, that I will never speak of lol. But its a ton of fun and a huge adrenalin rush no matter how quick you're running. You'll enjoy it alot lol.

 

For those asking about the helmet rule:

The rule stats that a helmet is required for any car running quicker than 8.59 in the 1/8th mile.

They really like to see helmets in verts no matter how fast your going. But if you solid in the 9's they usually wont say anything.

Also if you car has a roll bar behind your head you MUST wear a helmet even if it goes 15.00 seconds in the 1/8th mile.

I know, I know you think 8.59 is too slow for a helmet.....trust me your better off having it in case something happens. You never know, always better be safe than sorry.

And please anyone who doesnt know the rules you must wear a t-shirt....no cut off's or wife beaters.

The have helmets at the track that you can borrow, give em your license they give you a helmet, give the helmet back get your license back. But they only have I think 3 so supplies are limited.

 

Thats what I try to tell people. Who cares how fast your car is, as long as YOU are having fun thats what its all about.

 

How big are they? Are they nasty lol? I may try to get one just in case, I really dont know what to expect of my driving, but I know the car is more than capable of a time faster than 8.69.

I need a TWEECER ahhhhhhhh ( pullin my hair out lol )


Like I said before my fastest pass was an 8.64 with the car spinning off the line, bogging in 2nd gear and when I hit 3rd that dam motor lost a ton of power, as a matter of fact I think I am goin out to the garage to work on it right now........ talk with you guys later.
