I was thinking about the DSO fan clutch and oil cooler. I have a HD "Towing"fan clutch. It basically has the fan fully engaged. I will look into the DSO items.

I am going to put on the Edlebrock water pump and GENTLY pressure wash the condenser from the backside and blow it out the front. I am going to refill it with distilled water and water wetter. I will let you know if this gives it any improvement.

If this doesnt make a difference, I have found small BeCool fans in 8 X 9 (2100cfm) or 9 X 10's (2400cfm). I am going to fab up some mounting frames and mount two of them up as pushers. If that doesn't kick this heats ass, I dont think noithing will.

I run AC too on my car. I have seen the set up I posted work on three cars.ones a 360 hp car, ones a 450, and the third 475

It's the best setup.

Thanks, the simpler the fix the better!!!!!!

I just ordered a OEM DSO fan clutch from Performance Parts, Inc. $109 bones, $125 with shipping. Damn!

I am still going to put on the Edlebrock water pump and clean out the condenser.

Anybody need a good Napa HD radiator or a HD fan clutch?

I got in the DSO fan clutch today. Will try to get this in this week, likely on Saturday.

I also got a bunch of new AN fittings to clean up and re-route the fuel lines in the engine compartment. I never have been happy with were the Y block and regulator were mounted.

I have Aeromotive pump controller coming in this week also. They just came out with a 2nd generation unit. Time to cool off the fuel system also.

Many cooling problems are due to not enough fan. I hope the new clutch works out for you.
Have you looked into Glenn's Performance fuel cooler/radiator thing?

The voltage regulator for the A-1000 fixed my fuel cooling problem. It runs on low speed until it needs full speed (I set mine to 3000 rpm) and then it kicks in. If it's running full speed during regular driving, it keeps heating the fuel up everytime it recirculates. Doesn't take long to get it nice and hot.

I got lucky. I got home from work, after driving it about 35 miles and went to leave and the pump would do nothing. We came back after about an hour and still nothing. I put a meter on it and it had good voltage. I gave it a smack with my palm and it started working. I hope the motor isnt shot. I changed out the filters again and so far so good. I ordered the pump controller the next day.

If this doesnt work I may add the Glenns cooler kit.

Well I got the Edlebrock water pump and DSO fan clutch installed. I filled it with distilled water and water wetter. If it ever quits raining, I will see how it does. I idled it for about 15 min with the AC on max and it never got over 190. That is an improvement.

I rinsed out the condensor (back to front) with a garden hose. It looked way better than I expected, I dont think it is a problem, AC works way to good. (knock on wood!)

The only thing I do not like is the fan clutch, it is looser than the one I took off. I forgot to compare how much it engages when hot. It may well be better hot.

If this doesn't make a difference, I may drill the stat and then go to a 160.

The pusher fan is last resort.

??????????????????????????????????
