20+ psi and you will sell the nitrous! I ran 20-23lbs on a STOCK longblock on pump gas w a Precision 45a which is a 66mm. I like when people say that X motor wont take X amount of boost. If someone make these claims laugh and find someone that knows what they're talkin about

wow you sound like u know alot about turbos ... have u ever ran nitrous befor? psi has very little to do with hp cfm has more to do with it. there alot of advantages to both, and one that has not ran both should not be making bold statements.

I got a question , I don't really know that much about turbos , so when you say use nitrous to spool up the turbo , is that all you do ? I mean you just spool up with the juice and go down the track on turbo alone ? I was told by a Honda guy that you can run the juice all the way down the track with the turbo.Somebody enlighten me , please .

got another question . I've seen supercharged turbo's on semi's , how come that doesn't work on a car ?

  1. ?1 . a small motor car with a big turbo can use nitrous to spool the turbo. nitrous helps makes more horse power more horse power burns more fuel . more fuel burned makes more exhaust gases the more exhaust the faster the turbo spool ... thats the simplest i can make it w/o getting in greater detail.
  2. ?2.. the reason the are not used on car or in racing , is the simple fact that turbos are better , the one car iv seen in person hit a wall making power with both the turbo and supercharger . the turbo could out flow the s/c an it acted like a bottle neck. im sure it could be over come with some r&d but idk if it would be worth it...

I get it , but i thight nitrous really like compression and the low compression would just eat it.I've seen someone juice a low compression motor and it slowed down

then you watched an idiot.

nitrous adds more oxygen to the motor. it'll make more power unless someone doesnt know what they are doing. either adding too much fuel, or too much timing on a motor with knock retard, or not knowing how to keep the power settled.

it does work on a car. it just really isn't used because the cost of production would go up significantly. its hard to have a turbo spool for low rpm torque and turn the rpm and flow the cfm to feed some high end power. closest thing they can muster is a variable nozzle/geometry turbo.

I already understand your explanation on how nitrous works . I also know that nitrous is better in a high compression motor , sometimes really high , like 15to1.But your not running a turbo anywhere near that high. Like 8.5to1. Thats what this guy's car had and it slowed down a little with the juice .And I'm sure he had the right kit
