I just installed a '95 8.8" onto a '01 Cobra - Here's the "short" difference:











You can't tell much of a difference. With the addition of the matching '03 Cobra wheels (fronts are on now; rears need tires) and the 315 rear tire - you'll never notice.

But, yeah... do the gears first... then get a nitrous kit. Best bang for the buck on a V6.

If you can find a rear w/gear i would go that route

but if you cant just build your rear

yea ill prob do gears but i need an 8.8 first. not going to waste my money putting gears into a rear im not looking to keep
