Default tax return

Im getting my tax return before the end of the month, hopefully. I gotta pay bills and shit but ill have about $500 to put into my car. Its pretty stock right now, i have a 2004 v6 3.9l mustang. It is a manual. All ive done is intake and Magna flow cat back. I was thinking i would do a T-lok (or a 8.8 rear) and gears or Long tubes and H pipes, or something else? Looking to do something that will make a difference, any suggestions

8.8 w/steeper set of gears will be something you notice in the "seat of the pants" dyno... And it'll also prepare the car for a V8 swap down the road man

For an 04 car make sure you get one from a 99 - 04 GT or Mach1. The 99 - 04 8.8 is a little bit wider then the fox and SN95 8.8 rears. They will fit your car better.

Also,.. I've seen a couple really good turbo set ups on the V6 cars. One guy is making 450 at the wheels. So you do have other options,.. because swapping in a V8 will be pretty involved.

Good luck!

"Alan" has one on here that would be a direct bolt-in to your application. Check in the Ford Tech For Sale section.

And? That matters not. You replace the rear end and install it with the brakes that are on it. Considering your car is a V6, I'd have to guess/assume that the V8 car's rear has larger brakes, which would be an upgrade for your car. All you'd need to do is unbolt your rear, toss it in the trash, and use your car's brake lines and bolt them to the calipers on the new rear. Oh, and hook up the e-brake cables from the car to the new rear end as well.

id say save your money and put a gear /posi in what you already have. you will feel it .and at your hp level you will never brake it .
