Smack the starter solenoid with a wrench and see if it stops.

I've seen this work on chevies, but never on a Ford.

/\ tru that, it happend on my Capri once also,, a couple of whacks and it was mooocho better!!! Hasent happen since and its the same one that I whacked...Im sure one day she will let me down and I have a spare waiting to go in!!

well tommy boy helped me out alot today, he got the car running now just have to do sum tweaks, for sum reason, the starter wants to loosen its self from the bell housing everytime u try to start it. so just a few more tweaks and it will be done. tommys the man!!!

If it's loosening up all the time, then use some lock washers on the bolts.

i did, on both bolts, and its still doin it, wat i figure, is im gonna try sum RTV and if that dont work, tommy suggested running the bolts all the way thru the bellhousing and puttin sum nuts on the back of it. makes sense

Yeah, I had to do that on the bottom bolt. You could also try some locktite.

yea, i was feelin that too, lol. its comin together, slowly but surely. i figure if i toy with it a couple hours(lmao, she will be together and ready for a test and tune session wen i come back after the holidays. neone wanna race? lol
