v6 cluster in a 2.4 ranger
i just put a v6 cluster from a 97 explorer in my 95 ranger 2.3L 5speed and i kno for a fact the tach is off 500RPM
i hooked up a scanner to my truck a few weeks ago to check to see where it idles and it idles at 900 yet the tach is reading 400rpms
my question is, is there any way to fix this issue at all?

is it off by 500 rpms the entire time? if it is, you could just need to reset the needle
