Engine Bay Smoothing...
No idear. I'll figure that out when I get the shit here, lol. Going to have to verify that my cage bar to the frame rail is going to clear the template that he's already got available. Go from there.
I have some good ones on my other comp after Caputo painted it,but the rivets dont even stick out....I have the welder if you want to use it,just buy a tank of gas...i also have fluxcore if you need it.

Not to insult that guys knowlege of welding, but welding tailpipes with a coat hanger with a torch doesnt make you a welder. You'd have to have a 5 gallon bucket bondo to straighten the warped metal
I'll let you in on a secret....shhhh can tell nobody this
A piece of brass flat bar backer and flux core wire makes short(er) work of it.
Gas back is nice but but it ha its place. Like $hawn said it has to be clean. Doesnt have to be nowhere near as clean with flux core

He actually was a gas line welder for Con Ed. I think welding live gas line and has build many race cars Makes his suggestion fine in my book. The heat you need to throw at it is dependant on the rod you use. He didnt warp the shit out of their 67 camaros firewall but I guess after 40 somthing years one would expect him to know how to control his heat.
$hawn and I was talking about this very topic a couple of months ago and how much of a mother fucker it is no matter which route you take.
