would the lightning engine fit in a mustang engine bay. i think it would because they cobra r has a 5.4.

 

just put a tricked out 302 in it..i believe the engine swap kit is somewhere between 400-800 dollars or something. I know someone who swapped a 4 banger out with a 351 and he said it was so much work to get it in properly that it would have been alot better to just get the 5.0 convirsion kit and drop a 302 in it. The Lightning motor in fact will sit up high as hell. There is a guy on www.mustangworld.com that swapped a 01 Lightning engine into a 87-93 Foxbody mustang. The dumbest thing ive ever seen. I would actually try trading it in for a newer 6cyl ranger and put a supercharger on it..will be a quick truck.
