The filter and oil was replaced when I did the job originally. The filters didn't seem to have anything obviously out of the ordinary (then again I didn't really look for anything either) This thing for SURE has not seen above idle and collectively over about 3-4 starts of about 5-10 secs.

What ever I guess I'll check for shavings when I take off the pan. The oil is brand new so any shaving will be, if there, in the oil from running it after I had put the motor back together.

Sounds like you will be fine. Good luck brother and the offer still stands.

Ok so I yanked the motor left the tranny in (btw, I hate long tube headers, they're gonna be a bitch to put back in)

There's definately shit jammed in there. I can't even get the gear out to see wtf it is that's jammed in there. All I know is I can see something where it shouldn't be. I'm curious as to how it got past the oil pickup screen because this part is way larger than what could POSSIBLY pass through the screen.

Oh well, atleast I got results after all the work of pulling it out. Gonna throw in a high vol OP and a new shaft (this time WITH the collar on it).

Motor's back in now... Will finish up putting it back together over the weekend. The motor went in suprisingly easy considering I left the tranny in. It went way smoother than I expected.

And again... I hate long tube headers.

the trick with the headers is to put them in when the motor is 2/3rds of the way in.

Yeah I attached them about 2 inches before being mounted. Each separate header tube was cut at the flange and each header tube slipped right out of the collector which did help some but still, it was a pain.
