I agree as well, if on a street car where you want to keep engine
compartment heat down, OR you are limited to space and you dont need / want instant spool with a BIG turbo. Im not big on having to pump oil back to the front, something else to go wrong IMO.

Either way, he was at least trying something innovative.

Most people fall into the trap of believing that existing ways of doing things can never be improved upon.

I give him props for doing it. It created a ton of talk amongst people and it's a shame he gave up.

Like I said, Paul Major has them and at 4.90's... he is quicker than a lot of people on here.

I'd be willing to bet money on that too.

I agree its important to have people trying new things. When EFI came out alot of people were yanking it off to put a holley on there. Shit, blowthrough would never have happened nor would turbos in general be popular like they are now. And rear mounts still have a place IMO, they obviously work to a degree.

As far as Majors vette. How big are his turbos? (i dont know). How does it compare to other cars with the same size turbos?

I don't know how big they are this year, but he is selling last years turbos and they are 106mm.

As far as how his car is doing compared to the other front mounts in his class? I'm not certain. I know that he has had a ton of issues getting the chassis to hook... but 4.90's is probably (a huge guess here) within a tenth of where he wants to be.
