Stock or performance block?
Ah ok, I think im getting this now. the block being bored .030 over is only a small contribution to the 347, the pistons are shorterand wider? giving more inches, and the crank pulls the pistons down further?
If im wrong run me thru the things I need to know going from 302 to 347.

Every thing must be checked if you want it to last.Sure,you want to put together a homemade 347 then wonder why you wiped out bearings go ahead.Or trust someone that knows alot more than you to put it together.If anyone steps up to an aftermarket block and wants to make some serious power I suggest you take it to someone and have it done right.
