K so .030 over for 347, Now where are the machine shops in tampa so I can get some priced for the machine work.

You also need a 347 crank and rods. Plus the .030 over pistons to make a 347. A 302 .030 over is only a 306.

Ah ok, I think im getting this now. the block being bored .030 over is only a small contribution to the 347, the pistons are shorterand wider? giving more inches, and the crank pulls the pistons down further?

If im wrong run me thru the things I need to know going from 302 to 347.
