I don't think it's that uncommon on a turbo car to run the intake the other direction. I've seen several and have one. Just one way to run a big single turbo with an intercooler and have the turbo on the passenger side.

seen lots of blower/turbo cars do it as described above but (No Blower/Turbo+flipped intake=bad idea) Friends dont let friends use duct tape on their cars.
