We've got some that are small enough to do the job on Afghanistan while leaving its neighbors intaxt. I'm all for it, the world needs more natural glass. Actually, I'm more partial to carpet bombing suspected targets with dumb bombs, rather than these precision guided things that cost uberdollars.

What in your wisdom would be your solution to the economic and political trumoil that has overwhelmed the middle east and spread their violence to our soil?


Yeah a few big bombs would do just fine.

 

1(one) act has 'spread to our soil.' That act came from Afghanistan, something a lot of people seem to have forgotten. Their economic and political turmoil isn't our problem. Its been going on forever, and it'll be going on forever unless they change their ways. No amount of bombs will make them change their ways. I support refocusing on Afghanistan because the peopel who attacked us came from there...remember, whole Osama Bin Laden thing....?

I mean 'Liberating' Iraq is cool and all that....and yeah, Iraq consorts with terrorists appearently...but so does every other country in the middle east, inclusing Israel and Saudi Arabia (Why haven't we hit them, by the way?) If there wouldn't be any reprocussions, I'd level the entire middle east and occupy it, taking their oil, but we can't do that, sooooo we need to take a sensible approach.

 

first time they tried to bomb it, then the bombing of the naval ship, then the world trade center, pentagon and the plane that went down in PA........ we'll call that one event. The act came from OBL, and do you recall where most of the terrorist came from? Wasn't Afganistan........



While serving we discussed how pussy footed the current administration was on there stand about Sadam disobeying every UN resolution put before him. Guess good head in teh oval office lets you forget about that sorta stuff.

Some people might not want to be reminded of that day,and I can understand why.I read in the paper today that some of the familys that lost loved ones on 9/11 had plans not even put thier tv's on this morning or pick up the local paper..instead they brought their family's to the beach or went other places so they did not have to be reminded of what happend that day.I guess it does not matter how far you run from it,it will not make it go away.I just flew in from jersey today,and never had the thought in my head about what happend or what can happen....I'm not going to let it change my life,I don't want to be that person who will never fly again either.
