Thread seal
Ok. HAh This is my first time working on almost any car so work with me here
I took the thermostat housing off and removed the gasket. Now on the housing there was a threaded sensor with two wires connecting to it. I took this out (shouldn't of done it). Now I don't have a seal on the car. Should I purchase locktite or something or could I use the same stuff that you use to seal the air lines?
Would the same stuff you use for the air lines work?

yeah don't use teflon tape it usually heats up and goes away or loses its hold especially on water stuff. tried it myself and learned the hard way. Use a thread sealer that is designed for radiator/water stuff or use J/B weld if you never plan on taking it out again. Remember DON'T use J/B weld if you want to remove or service it in the future. go to an autoparts store and get the right stuff.

And about my sealing up. I put back the t-stat housing and filled up with water to see if I have leaks and NOOO it is leaking by the t-stat housing... I am soo pissed off right now..
... It is probably the gasket or something stuck on something.. I really had a HARD time getting that housing on!
