on dry! I tried that two times! both failed with leaks ..

I picked up the same manufacturer of sealant just it says "water pump & thermostat housing"

RTV Silicone

I will try again. I am just taking a break

be careful that the thermostat is in the housing correctly, thats where most leaks come from.

Well I just put the sealant on... I am letting it dry now... Man it is a pain in the ass getting it on all lined up without moving anything ...

I am letting it dry... I guess we shall see what happens

a little trick, put a drop of superglue on the thermostat before you put it in the housing. This way nothing moves while you install it...

ohh I don't think I had a problem with that.. (as far as I know)

The problem was lining up the gasket with the screws then getting both of the screws lined up

I hope the t-stat didn't move...
