How long you guys think I should wait to let it dry? It has been about 15 minutes now at 1130...

DAMN!... I just tested it out and I just poured water into the radiator and bam it leaks AGAIN... from the bottom...


I am putting the spring first into the block... I don't get it.. I put the sealant on..

Now I fucked up the gasket taking it off and I don't think anybody is open today damn...

Ok I got it all together.. I used glue to hold the thermostat... and put the gasket on nicely. I put water in it with some flush to check it out and no leaks!!! I am going to drain and put the coolant in it..

Soo everything is going alright =)

works every time. 99% of thermostat gasket leaks aren't the gasket, it's the thermostat moving and getting pinched between the two when you bolt the housing on.

Yes it all works!... I put in coolant and no leaks and took it for a ride... THe guage in the car was wacky for about a mile then it straighten right up...

THe only thing it is reading is a little higher than it used to.. It used to read a little below the A... Now it reads right between the M and A...

I wonder if this is because of the new coolant..

soo cost was 28 dollars and about a day worth of work (spread over two days)

I think it was an alright trade off since I DID learn
