Please Help!!!
I ran a 306 a few years ago with a 75mm Accufab throttle body & spacer, self-ported Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, self-ported TFS Twisted Wedge heads, and a custom Comp Cam (.499/.499 @ .050 236/248 108 center line).
Heads were milled quite a bit to up the compression. I would have liked to run a slightly bigger cam, but our rules wouldn't allow it. The car put down 355rwhp through an AOD transmission. I went 11.30's at 2900lbs.
I wouldn't expect you to run the same compression as I was if this is a street car you are building, but with the right setup, high 11's shouldn't be a problem. Low 11's or even high 10's with the spray shouldn't be out of the question either.
Like someone said earlier, pay attention to your suspension setup. All the horsepower in the world doesn't help if you don't get it to the ground.
