use a test light to find the ignition wire wire from key, make sure it stays hot while cranking, then just run a wire to the little push on plug at the solenoid.

take the little white wire off the solenoid and leave it hang, then take a piece of wire and put it on the hotside of the coil and run it to the + side of the battery.once you have done that stick a screw driver on the little post and the other post of the solenoid

If you dont want to track down the real problem run a hot wire to one side of a push button switch and the other lead to the small terminal on the starter solenoid as nasdstang said.

89... take a wire from the hot side of the solenoid, there are two wires going to your coil, one has green and one has red, stick it in the red one, now.. take a screwdriver and jump the solenoid, if the car starts and you want to turn it off just unhook the wire to the coil

If your unfamiliar with the electrical systems on these cars find someone that is to fix it. I've seen too many of these cars go up in flames because someone just rigs the wiring. And from what I've seen these cars burn all the way to the ground.
