i have a 89 5.0 with a five lug conversion. i added lincoln rear disc setup with lincoln axles. i'm getting welds but not to sure wat back spacing to use, i've tried a 15x8 with a 6.50 backspacing and the tires were too close for comfort near the pipes. and with a 5.50 there to close to the fender lip. anyhelp will be greatly appreciated

 

well your going to have to go with one or the other. if your that worried about it, just cut off the tail pipes and go with dumps.

 

I have 5.5 backspacing on mine with 275/50/15's and it barely rubs the lip of the fenderwell over bumps. You can always get the lip rolled.

 

are you using lincoln disc brake setup in the rear?

i tried some 15x 10 with a 7.50 back spacing and well the tires hit the pipes, going to try som 15x 8 with a 6.50 back spacing tomorrow. thats what the back spacing tool said should work lets hope

 

wouldn't think you would ever be able to go wider thab 8'' with those axles.
did you try a 15x8-6.0?

 

no tryin a 15 x 8 with a 6.50 tomorrow, thats what ford techs should work, cuz lincoln axles are the same as the ones in the m 2300 k brake kit
