Yeah.. It hurts. But thats they way the market is. Considering the overal condition of the car and the extra parts that came with it, it was a pretty fair deal.

Yeah, I loved my fox body, but its time for something a little different - more permanent. This will hold its value much better than my fox did.

I need to start hunting for a body shop that REALLY knows what they are doing.

Flastangs - Its not cheap, but it helps that I dont have to drive it every day. I remember back in High school.. trying to modify the car you have to drive the next day really sux.

Ill be at this one for the next few years, at least.

I have a question, has all of these shows on tv now restoring old cars driven up the price of the older cars even in horrible condition? I ask only because my 69 mustang is parked at my Dad's house under a tarp. Not a day goes by that some one doesn't stop to ask my Dad if he would sell it. Where as before, no one even gave it a second look. I look around on ebay and see a 65 stang that is the best example of "Rust holding hands" and they want 4k for it.

don't think that those are the only reasons, the 05 coming out (retro look) has gotten a lot of people looking at the originals, along with the whole Elanor thing. It'll taper off I would think, but probably won't be any time soon. People are putting crazy prices on crap though, that's for sure... You just have to look hard enough to find a good deal, I had to look all the way out in LV...

Your both right. A new wave of TV shows give people motivation about building the car they always wanted (don't they make it look sooo easy??) - and the 05 certainly doesn't hurt.

Personally, I think its going to stick. There are quite a few cars left that are restorable and they are being snatched up right now - but the ones that dont get restored are going to be beyond repair in a few years. So in years to come, yeah, theres going to be a handful of nice classic cars running around, but the ones that dont get fixed now are going to be harder if not impossible to resurrect later, for a reasonable price
