+1, when mine was running right the car wouldn't get above 185 driving normal or over 190 after making a pull with a new stock replacement pump and radiator. 70/30 water/coolant + water wetter.

How old is your waterpump, and what kind of electric fan Pat?

waterpump is about 1 yr old....fan is off 90 sumthin V8 explorer.....running 70/30 anti freeze...no water....

maybe need more fan?? I don't know cfm of fan....I'm gonna check to see if it has a Ford part number on it....brb

Hmm, if you want to give my black magic dual fans lmk, I think they pull around 2600cfm.

A stock 5.0 explorer fan is probably the same as an sn95 fan so it should be sufficient enough to keep the car closer to 180 than it is though imo.

I can't read the specs on it...I'm going to unbolt the fan tomorrow and take a look.....PM me your cell again...thx

do you have a standard rotation fan on a reverse rotation water pump or vice versa? which way does the air blow?

yeah..hmm.don't get me wrong....the car is not running hot...I'm thinking I should run a little cooler...I'm gonna check the specs on my electric fan...the fan is about 19"...it isn't small.....and I'm gonna check the wetter water shizzle too...the rad is clean and flowing...maybe I should do a water pump upgrade...something better than stock....

does your transmission cool through your radiator, do you have an external cooler as well?

yes.....and ....yes....tranny is running through the rad...then through another cooler mounted between the rad and A/C condensor
