I know a guy paid 15 grand for a 93 strawberry red coupe with gt-40 intake, Edelbrock heads, E-cam, full exhaust, 46k miles, and a Powerdyne blower dynoed at 375hp. Al work performed at Steeda and the car was in Super Ford magazine. The car was for sale for almost a year, I think though. I would say 17, maybe 18 grand, low miles, clean and lots of power, I think you said 493hp before. Your car is practically brand new. Definitely a sweet ass car. I wish I could get it.

Thanks - I agree, it definately takes the right buyer, someone who might have been looking for the exact model and agrees with the mods that were done. The more you mod a car, fewer potential buyers will agree with everything that was done.. O well

, being that you likely arent even in the market to begin with.
i don't "know" your car. modded = devalued.

i am not in the market you asked for an opinion.

good luck if you decide to sell you'll probally regret it though.

I agree that you dont get your money out of mods, but when you are talking about a car done right, not a race car, but a tasteful street car - Ill go ahead and disagree with your comment about the value actually going backwards as you mod it.

That said - $12k car + $10k in mods doesnt equal a $22k car, I agree.

However, a $12k car + $10k in mods CERTAINLY doesnt equal a $9k car, lol.

i was saying in stock form a coupe as clean as yours with 30 on the clock would be sold for around 12k. now the same car modded is worth less money because it has been "molested" and as soon as you do that the value depriciates it's a fact. maybe worth more than 9k sure. my point is if you want to sell it your setting your expectations of what the car will retail for way to high.you don't get paid back for modds and they do not increase value. i think you will be disappointed money wise and regret selling the old girl.

General rule is that you should expect to lose about 50% of the cost of mods. IMO, a modified car and a molested car are considered two different things by a lot of people.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but lets agree to disagree on the rest One thing for sure, I know that I would regret it at some point - but you cant keep them all!

Face it, cars are money pits - I can only afford to have one, and do it right. Not to mention storage, time..

If you're not happy with the car, sell it. Life is too short to spend time and money on something that doesn't make you happy. It's not like you couldn't find something similar in the future if you decided you want it back, like that low milage black coupe you sent me the link to, that thing is awsome. Theres more low milage cars out there than you think so you could always go back to something like that in the future. If I wasn't happy with my car, I would sell it in a heartbeat, as a matter of fact even though I don't want to sell my car, if someone offered me 18k right now, it would be out the door and I'd be down at Brandon Ford buying an 05.
