Yeah, it seems steep, I agree. The fact is, there are a lot of people who WOULD pay that for it, but like D said - not many people have that kind of money to spend, cash - and a bank isn't going to touch it.

Looking around, I see many less tastefully modified cars for sale in the 10k range, but the cars themselves usually have 70-125k miles on them.

I guess my point it, I feel the car is worth it, but buyers are hard to find

Not a huge deal though, as I like this car almost as much as I want my 68 back - so Im not going to feel too terrible about keeping the 93

Search back through here and on turbomustangs.com and see what Derek's red coupe went for...I think 12-16K and it was absolutely killer with extremely low miles on it.

Yeah, his car was nice. Quite a bit different though. Very few original parts remained, custom paint job, N/A, stock brakes(I think). Not saying anything bad at all, just that it was a completely different kind of car.

18k does seem a bit high, but I'd say it'll definately get 14k+ how it sits, just have to wait for the right buyer as any cars like ours.

i would have a hard time finding 14k in there. although it is a super clean car the mods do de-value it. stock i would see 12k in current condition with 30k miles.modded means beat usually and 9k sounds good. no offense just my opinion.

$0.02

^^ You obviously dont know my car. Everything is done top notch and its far from beat. This is the super clean car, which has been tastefully modded and not cut up.

Not that I expect to get the money out of mods, but in the last 10 months, I have about $10k in receipts for the car. Stack that on top of a low mileage silver coupe and I think it adds up quickly.

I usually find that depending on who is looking at the car, the value is much different. In this case, I ask...what would you pay? - you're going to reply with a number that you would like to pay, or what you feel is reasonable, being that you likely arent even in the market to begin with. This is a lot different from a number that a serious buyer might be willing to spend on a clean car, especially if hes been looking for a while.

I, along with most of the people that I know would buy any $9k, 30k mile car, in a heartbeat ....and then make money on the resale...

Thats definately an option. I could just work on it a little at a time after I enclose my garage

Thinking of a built similar to the ebay fast-forward fastback, but obviously a coupe I didnt like the stance on that car though - a little ghetto.

If it had an R block and heads I would say $18k but there will be someone out there who will drop the cash if you wait long enough.

I would be surprised to get around $18k for my cobra these days without waiting several months.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.
