While I totally agree with the point you are making, and I always enjoyed reading the muscle mustang tests, motor trend did get a 13.6 out of a 2004 GTO. Even with a shitty driver I would think it would make more mph then that I guess time will tell.

On the fords, when the 4.6's are broken in, you will get another .3-.4 tenths out of it. When my GT was brand new it went 14.3 at 99 with 200 miles on the clock. After 5800 miles and no modifications, it bolted a 13.77 at 102.
