I kind of agree with Scott's view on the car not being broken in yet. But I wonder why Ford would go out with this thing and run these lackluster times with the press present. Perhaps the guy wasn't running it hard, perhaps this pre-production model wasn't up to par on tuning, or... This raises tons of questions. Should be interesting to see what sorts of times the popular magazines run in the '05.

Who was driving? Is it some dumbass from Autoweek or was it Evan Smith cutting 1.6 60' times with it? That makes a big difference as well. And like Alan said, is it an auto? 96mph in a bone stock auto isn't too bad, that should put it right around 98-99 with a 5 speed. I can't wait to get home and watch the video.
