Raced a Lancer Evo Turbo
Beware guys, theses cars are wicked with a little mods. This guy had a boost controller exhaust, and I believe a computer upgrade. We were next to each other in 3rd gear, my rpms were reading about 3600. We paced each other until we were even (he kept going back and forth to make sure I heard the hissing and blow-off from the turbo). Then we nailed it. My stang barred down and moved. The Evo was creeping past ever so slowly as my rpms reached 6100, I heard the sinister hissing sound from his turbo and I knew he shifted about 1000 rpm earlier than I had to. Anyway I powershifted to fourth, which pulls like hell, and I started gradually pulling away on him til' his front bumper is near my rear bumper, by that time Im at 6200 rpm just about to hit the red limiter of 6250 and I shift to 5th. We than braked because I was at close to 115mph.
We pulled into a gas station and chatted. He said I was only the second stang that pulled on him, me and a loss to a heavily modified Cobra. He said the cobra runs low 11s at 127, had 658 rwhp and had a Kenne Bell and killed him by atleast 4 car lengths He claims to have sent many stangs and a lot of z28s to the grave. He thought sure I had a power adder, and seemed surprised I had only heads and cams combo with bolt ons.
Guys he would have destroyed a stock GT even one with only full bolt ons (w/out heads/cams). These cars are wicked and they supposed to be slower than the Subaru STi's!

I bet your ride will be one bad motha when its finished! In my opinion I would go with a turbo setup, it seems the turbos are giving the stangs crazy top end pull.

Thanks but its gonna be alil while before shes done. About the turbo/SC, im gonna post a new thread when it comes time to decide, its a little too early to be thinking about that when my cars in peices...
