That cowl piece is not removable its part of the car. We have used this new dent puller, instead of drilling holes and pulling it out we tack little studs that you then put your slide hammer on. Pull it out slowly then grind down the welds. Much better then covering up holes in the cowl.

damn right they opened it. but this doesnt happen w/ a safety latch. why is that off the car? i dont worry about mine w/ basically two latches.
