Bassani Mid's seem to be the hot ticket right now. I run BBK long tubes and have seen The Mids from Bassani pull the same power with a bit more mid range. The install on any Cobra is a nightmare but Need -4-Speed has the problem solved time wise which saves some bucks. bassani also makes aluninized stuff now that saves over the all stainless. Plus they sound really nice. Use their X pipe and you pick up a few more horsepower. AT any rate, it is an easy way to gain 18 - 20 hp on a cobra.

You'll need a new h or x pipe with any header that isn't modeled after the stock manifolds.

My mother had the BBK longtubes on her Cobra. These were definately some of the highest quality headers I had seen at the time (circa 1999). She went with a D&D k-member at the same time to make installation and clearance a bit better, but this wasn't absolutely necessary to wedge those suckers in there.

The BBK Long tubes are about 500.00 but you need the X pipe and the cat backs also, so look at 1,ooo for the system. The Bassani's will give you a heart attack. The system is like 1600 and then the labor. But they are the clas act . My BBK's have done well and still look good - a little rust from the AC dripping on them but they look good, sound good and run good. By the way - Need -4- Speed is having a shop night tomorrow night wed from 6 -9 or so. Everyone should come out. free food and drinks and lots of Mustangs.

He would just need an h or x pipe to fit the long tubes. Any cat-back will work.
