Angry This SUCKS!

So, I have been trying to sell my mustang and today a lady called me and said that she would like to look at it. They came to my office where the car was and looked it over. Then I let them take it for a test drive. About 5 minutes later she called and said "Chad, I have some bad news... The hood just flew open while we were driving down the road, there is some damage" I loved this car when I drove it but since I have had it up for sale it sure has been a pain in the ass.

Did she offer you a lesser price because of the damage? Sounds like a scam, seen it before myself. I would NEVER let someone test drive the vehicle alone anyways.

...For some reason she wasnt interested in purchasing anymore. I am the one who closed the hood after showing them the engine, I don't think it is a "scam."

Look at the positive side...at least it didn't take out the windshield and the roof. True it will be a bitch to fix, but it could have been much worse.

Are those square pannels part of the fenders? If not, then the fenders are not damaged. I am so glad there was a hood scoop because that is the only thing that kept it from smashing the windshield and roof.

The hood was kind of tacky anyway. A stock hood or a nice clean smooth cowl hood will make it look so much "gooder."

Yup... been there... done that!!

However, I also took out the windsheild and it pushed the wiper stud deep into the fire wall. It really bent the $&*^ out of things. It was repaired, but you can still see the damage. The cowl does not line up with the fenders and I can't get a wiper arm back on the stud.
I have some friends who think they can fix it, but they can't promise not to break the windsheild again...

The part they are leaving out is that they probably took another look and didn't get the hood latched. Either way, that sucks.
