is 7000 including the car? and what would you buy for 7000 to get it too run that, im curious. cause most i see spend that for the car and a motor swap to run 13's if there lucky....

7,000?

Safely?

EDIT: In regard to road rage's post. Funny you mention that $7,000 to run 13s if that.

I know someone with a 92 teg that just threw in a gs-r swap, costed $8,000 and he ran 17.XX ... he thinks something is wrong with his vtec He went from auto to manual as well, that's why it was so much.

I just thought it was funny, although I know those aren't typical results from a gs-r swap.

Even if it was true I would still keep my stang, theres just something with these cars that you can't get in anything else. I can drive mine daily no prob, have taken several 200+ mile trips in it and can bolt on the slicks and run easy deep in 11's. Thats with only changing the tires, hell it even still has the front sway bar bolted up.

Crx Shell - 300
B16 Swap - 1400
GSR Shortblock - 700ish
Forged Internals - 800ish
Homemade Turbo Kit - 2000
Suspension - 1500

This is what i got SO FAR, this is all assuming the work is done by the owner.

That adds up to 6700, i may have forgotten some things, but that should be good for low 11s to high 10s. Add some slicks in there too, i'm not sure what they cost exactly, if i've forgotten things just add them on.

Once again, i'm not trying to start an areguement of any kind, i just like this little debate. I feel like i'm learning stuff. Can one of you break down the prices for making a Mustang fast?

Car itself not great but runs good $3,000, 65mm TB $100, Headers, $90,
3.73 gears $100, Rear control arms $200, 70/30 front struts $150, Eibach Drag launch springs $150, X-pipe $100, Cat back $200, compucar nitrous kit jetted for a 200 shot $400, rebuilt C-4 tranny and loose convertor $500, slicks $300. This is what I used in my old 88 mustang hatch. The car went 11.3's@116. Car still wore the stock bottom end, heads(yes even the rockers), and upper and lower intake. So for $5290 I was hauling pretty good. And after people seen the car launch wheels up and run they would come looking and see nothing but a basic nitrous kit LOL, simply parts work wonders on these cars!

Man you need to put some sub frames and a 6 point in that thing, not only will it launch cleaner, it'll waste less energy twisting and put it straight to the wheels..

then it'll look like this...
