Question Tranny Mount

Well the T45 is 5" further back then the AODE is and now Im not sure on what to do for a tranny mount. You guys think I could get the brackets that hold the tranny to the body fabed up and moved back? I measured from the back of the finderwell to the mount and the stock one is 16" and the Cobra mount is 21". So I have to move it back about 5" to make the bracket fit the new tranny. Any suggestions?

i really dont think an auto mount on a T45 would work. I was told I could get new mount from Ford and have them welded on to the body. So it looks like thats the only way to make it work right now.

i thought the samething. maybe use an air chisel or just drill out the spot welds on the brackets.

both of the crossmembers are the same, just in a different location on the body.

you have a cobra tranny, you need the GT tranny tailshaft...... then it should fit perfectly.......

i did that on my car, used a cobra tranny with my gt tailhousing.......

they are exactly alike except for the mounting points......... get one from a junkyard somewhere and call ita day.........
