Post Mod motor :^D

Hmmmmmmmmm...... Well lets see i was just reading the new MM&FF and i wanted 2 shoot myself. OK why you ask well i see this articalabout a heads cam swap on a 00GT auto.Ok well it makes 217 rwhp stock then they do the heads and cam the it makes 244.2 rwtq274. i was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat picked up 27.2 rwhp. I was like damn that suck but wait then they put a bullit intake on it then it goes up to 248 rwhp. so ok about 3K in mods and under 30rwhp gain wow Mod motor kick ass.but i didn't have all the boltons and it was a aod and it was a street set up but still for the prices of the parts and the gain i would have 2 hurt somthing.

well, the 99 up heads should be ported rather than replaced, and i'm sure a cam would pick up the power they are missing with the better intake and heads and no cam changes..........

It is all in the package and tune. There are a few people at the modular depot forums who have gotten over 300 RWHP with no power adder. These motors will make power but have a high initial investment going at it N/A. Give it time for the aftermarket and machine shops to figure out what combinations are the best. I will keep my Mod Motor....

they changed cam, heads, and intake.

btw, do the ford mags use a different dyno or something, because they had a new 5.0 in the new 5.0 mustangs mag and they had a free flowing exhaust, roller rockers, undrive pulleys, and an edelbrock intake, and they put a nice cam in, and only came out with 212hp. Sounds a bit low considering a stock one should be making 191. (with a 15% drivetrain loss)

ya i know, that's what im trying to say in a way. The mags must use different dynos because they dynoed a stock mach and it only made 248!!! at the wheels in a 5.0 mustangs article.

it's too bad there have to be so many different types of dynos, it confuses me.
