Alot of people that really dont know dogs, dont understand how important this type of playing is.
My Shep loves to play....it doesnt take her very long to get aggetated (sp) and starts to play rough. I flank her and she will get stupid quick. I peak her nerves and then shut her down. I control her mentally and have to or she wouldnt be managable. You have to be the leader, or they will think they can take over and lead. With any large breed dog, once you have let the dog get the upper hand mentally, you have lost control and then bad thing start to happen, even if its minor as them soiling in the house.

all terrier breed dogs have a frame for killing. So do we outlaw rat terriers? a dog doesnt just agt on its own,a dog acts the way it has been allowed to act. Thats the owners fault. it is a very good comparison.Your dog might have its own free will , none of mine do

Not at all. You should see what a pissed off horse can do. I don't condone killing animals just because they can hurt you.

However.

All living things have free will. Part of being alive is being able to think for yourself. That dog can make its own decisions, it just chooses to obey you. But, if it decides that one day it doesn't want to, it absolutely won't. And, as an added bonus, it could rip your throat out with one good lunge. When people fail to or forget to take this into account, thats when people get killed.

My buddy has a rat terrier. Tiny little thing that weighs all of about 5 pounds, but nobody ever told it. I hate it and it hates me.
One day I was over at his place wearing shorts and docksiders. I was lucky to get out alive. Little shit was on me like I was a 3 legged cat. I was jumping around trying to not get bit while doing my best not stepping on it. Dang near spilled my beverage in the process. Must have been funny because everyone was in tears except me.
Bad breath little bastadge. I would vote to ban rat terriers.

Does this mean that you are denying the allegation that you are, indeed, a 3 legged cat, John?

I have always felt that dogs are psychic.

Back when I was in the Army we worked some nasty mean bite dogs. We had to clear an old hospital complex and none of the dogs would go into the basement type area. Turned out it was the old morgue.
I was watching a buddy working his special service dog (SSD, they work on remote voice command) when the dog just stopped in it's tracks, backed up slowly, as to tell us to not go any further. It turned out to be an EFP that was active on a motion sensor. The dog knew not to go to the source and alert, even though it was never trained to back up or respond like that.
I had a dog that hated my (then, now ex) wife and never could understand it until she divorced me.
They just know.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to pick up on this.

#1 it is a "pit MIX". i.e. NOT A "PIT" And even if it HAS pit in it, which I doubt, it is mixed with WHAT?
#2 The mother was laying in the bed NEXT to the child....WTF happened that she couldn't hear the child's screams or feel the thrashing about?
#3 The dog left the mother alone?
#4 Denise Hilton, manager of Pasco County Animal Services, said there had not been a fatal dog attack in Pasco County in at least 35 years — until Dec. 12 in the same neighborhood. Twenty-month-old Dallas Lee Walters was killed by a relative's Rottweiler-Labrador mix
#5 Hilton said in both cases, the dogs were not neutered.

A "pit mix" means it is most likely NOT a pit at all. Animal control tried to say that out Patterdale Terrier was a "pit mix". They're not even close.

This 16 y/o mother sounds like a real prize winner. Have her euthanized because she was so baked that she couldn't even feel her baby being mauled to death, by a 45 lb dog, beside her in bed.

Yeah, because the owner was a real prizewinner. Most likely, her boyfriend was training the dog to be aggressive, and they all thought it was "funny" to watch while they were high.
