Oh btw, I stopped by the shop in Winter Haven and the sign said they were closed until Jan 4th so I checked around lakeland at different lawnmower shops, Fun Bike center and a smaller 4 wheeler/scooter bike shop. I found one who finally had the chain in stock with an extra master link. he also helped me out with a few questions and referred me to a Kart shop in Plant City. I got the chain on and she was riding out!

Was the chain that hard to find or was it more about finding a shop that was open?

A couple shops were not open, a couple didn't sell parts, one didn't have that size but Lawnmower specialties actually had it and a go kart on the sales floor. He was very helpful and knew a lot but admitted that I should talk to the guy in Plant City if I wanted more info on modding the kart.

Oh btw, the chain is a #420. It's pretty stout, I also learned how to adjust the tension which was elementary but here's to learning!

Gekker motorsports in Lakeland, you'll have to check information, they used to be down 98 north towards rockridge but I think they moved two thirds of the way down deeson road on the right, they are a go kart and racing kart shop, my nephew used to work for them.

I was the Florida state champ in 1992 in Yamaha medium, raced in Jamaica and was 3rd in the southeast region. I don't know tiller motors but I can send you to someone who does.
BTW I made the mistake of going to Daytona kart week, that trip might get expensive.
