Jesus Christ, I couldn't agree more! After spending 4 years in the criminal justice academy, I learned just how many flaws our justice system really has. I can't stand the fact that we have these rapists, murders, and the like sitting on death row being strung along for years and years - meanwhile our government is bitching and moaning about how 'overcrowded our prisons are' while they're locking up white collar criminals all day long. It's ridiculous that all these states have the death penalty, but sit there and wait 30 years before putting it to good use.

I think more die on death row from old age than the state executing them...what a waste!

John Couey, for instance. I understand he probably died a fairly painful death, but come on. I believe I read/heard somewhere that before performing the lethal injection, they pay a decent sum of money to clean the machine and sterilize everything beforehand. Is there any validity to that? If so, that's ridiculous. Soon-to-be-dead guy afraid he's gonna catch HIV or some shit?

My wife has her 9mm Beretta side arm and we have a S&W 1911 38 and 1911 45 here in the house for defense. Someone comes in the house at night with my family in here,.. I'm shooting first and asking questions after they are dead. I dont like guns,.. not a strong advocate for them. But I would rather have and never need one then be in a situation where I could have save my family had I only been able to shoot the bastard.
