went to bradenton last night dissapointed...
ran my 91 coupe for the first time just to see where its at which unfortunately was a 14.5 at 95mph with a 2.1 almost a 2.2 60ft kinda sucks....

Sounds like you spun the whole 60' bubba... Get some slicks, With that MPH you should be around 14 flat. I heard from my brother today it was a fucking F&F rice fest out there anyway. He was racing at the circle track.

GET SOME

it was man but i enjoyed watching those 400 hp front wheel drive cars run 14s too haha. i will have slicks and maybe a h/c/i setup next time i go out so maybe i can get to my goal of breaking into the 12s.

i was a little further away from that goal than i expected but i didnt want to launch the car hard in the first place the car is more of a cruiser than a bruiser.

14 flat would be 98 - 100 mph but again,. depends on 60'. I've seen 14.5@100,.. my 4.6 GT used to run that alot before I worked on traction.
MPH is usually a good indicator of how much HP the motor is putting out. 95 mph I'd guess that your making about 190 - 215 rwhp. When my 96 dyno'd 186 HP I was running 14.8@93 mph. That was stock 4.6 with all the bolt ons and off road mid pipe. 2.73 rear gear.
Some good upper and lowers in the rear, stock springs can be hit or miss,.. drag springs would be ideal,. some 90/10 drag shocks and struts. Yank the front sway bar,.. maybe lighten the car up some,.. dont run with a full tank. Figure a gallon of gas weighs 7 lbs. 7x15 = 105 lbs. I like to run with 1/4 tank. if I run low I bring a 5 gallon can of 93 with me or if I forget it then toss in a gallon or two of race gas. Figure factory wheels are pretty heavy compared to aluminum drag wheels like Centerline or Welds. You can usually find a good deal on weld Drag Lites for $300. Run some sticky tires. Drag Radials are ok,.. but ET Streets or ET Drags will be much stickier and on a 15" wheel will have more sidewall flex on the tires so they dont break traction as easily on launch compared to 17" wheels.
Those are probably some of the cheaper easier ways to get a good 60'. If you want more power,.. just throw a 100 shot on there. Else save your money for some good heads and a matching cam.
Edit:
Just read 5pOiNtSLOW's post.
I agree 100%.
Your DD and your race car should not be the same car. Took me a long time to figure that one out. I was still trying it at 32 yrs old,.. it sucks when you break at the track and need to find a ride to work on Monday. I've been there,.. done that. If you want a nice cruiser,.. then keep it at that. Thats what my wife likes,.. she likes to watch drag racing,.. but she's more into road racing,.. she likes doing Sebring, Road Atlanta,.. that kind of stuff. Her Cobra was setup for handling,.. not so much for straight line performance,.. though her car could take on 'most' mustangs and LS1 camaro's she met at the traffic light. Then was always a riot when she rolled down the 5% tint window at the next light to see the guys face after he just got out shifted and lost to a girl. LoL. When ever I was in the car I would yell at her,.. Honey,.. roll the window up,.. your letting out the AC LoL.
Choose what you want your car to be,.. a race car or cruiser. Race cars break,.. and the faster you go the more you break things. There is no way around that aspect. Dont be hard headed like I was.
