Shit I cant remember the models but there are MANY an old car with its largest optioned motor that you had 2 choices to even CHANGE spark plug in them. Pull the motor OR use a hole saw thru the wheel wells.
It being easier to remove the body then disassemble the motor doesnt suprise me in the least. The way they engineer shit theese days is fucking rediculas.

I thought ford corvered this even if it was out of warrenty. The did on my 2000 lightning when it blew a spark plug out of the head. It was over in miles for warrenty but ford was all hush hush about it then and just replaced the entire head.
If I remember right ford changed the spark plug to one with more threads to help solve this problem.

Thats pretty smart of John to just pull the body though. Way easier to work on that way. Think he should get extra paid hours for coming up with that.

Hell yes,. I know exactly what you mean.

1977 Chevy Monza with a 305 V8 in it.
There is no effing way to change the plugs,.. I drilled holes in the fender well and got in that way.

Yup, the Lightnings and probably some of the other Mod motors had a little problem with that for a while.
