It is currently a manual pump right? Well, I would say that it would be fine unless you plan to race it. If you plan to race it, then I would go with a Holley Blue. If you MIGHT race it, then go with a manual pump. The holley will have to be mounted back by the tank and you will need a fuel pump block off plate (to cover the hole where the manual one was), and a regulator to keep the pressure below 6.5-7 psi. so you don't blow the fuel past the needle and seat in the carb....it is carbed right? Yeah it is...I think I remember you saying that. Plus if it was fuel injected, it would not have a manual pump.
i wont be building it for 1/4 mile. i just want a nice nasty little street rod. reason why i wanted to know about the fuel pumps though is just becuz how the wiring issue is going so far im just gonna end up riping all the stuff out and rewire the thing. but dont get me wrong though i will bring it out to the track every once in a while once it's safe to dog.

THIS FREAKING CAR IS PISSING ME OFF!!! it's been stuck at busch gardens for the past 2 day. went to work and when i was leaving it just would not start, no spark at all. so i thought i fried the ignition module again some how and i switched it out. that wasnt it so i tested to coil and it reads fine. and i just found out the altanater is externally regulated and there not on on the car any where. im getting it towd home today but arg.
