I call Bullshit
Umm..yeah, it's racist to have the strictly black clubs, awards shows, months, etc. But, really, none of that affects me personally. However, affirmative action is extremely racist and does affect me, and I call bullshit on that!
And I'm sickntired of pressing 1 for English!

I personally just ignore everything around me and live in my own little world also. I just treat everyone how they treat me good or bad and nothing really affects me that way. I always try to be as good as I can at whatever I do just for my own sense of pride.
Screw everyone else LOL. I'm just too busy to notice!

Most white kids in school now are at the disadvatage. If your a minority you get poits added to your SAT and ACT scores....they get there own scholarships and whats even worse is that if a white kid is equal to a minority and theres only room for one more person at the university they will take the minority.Pissed me off because many of my friends whos parents had money were getting all this stuff towards them because they were hispanic or black.BULLSHIT

My apologize for not specifying a little more. But i do agree that Affirmative Action is wrong. Yes it had it's place but i honestly think that time is gone, it's time to move on from that period. As far as having scholorships goes i honestly can't say that's wrong seeing as a large amount of poverty just happens to be black. I understand it's not all but it is an aid to give people that chance. Sometimes it just kind of goes to how things are in the times, whether they get phazed out or not when no longer sesnible(sp) is another question.
Token, in regards to scholarships, you point out poverty. Those who don't qualify for scholarships the same way everyone else does should apply for grants...that's what they're there for.

You know a pretty smart guy once said in refference to his chidren
"live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character"
You know with the way black people like to talk about him you would think they would hear the message. Your color shouldn't affect anything but your charater should effect everything.
Not sure where give black people hand outs was mentioned in that famous speech?

Very valid point. I honestly wish things could strictly be up to that, but in all honesty i really don't think all things are equal. Unfortunatley stereo-types still very much existed whether they're true in most ocassions or not. I'm not saying this strictly about black people, nor am i saying it's someone else's fault. It just so happens things aren't truely on a balanced plain, i wish they were so then there would be no debates over it and what not but i just don't think you can really say they are.
Bill Cosby came out and made a great statement about the fact that black people need to stop waiting on someone to do it for them as well as stop blaming others for them not making it any where. While very true, i still think a lot of work needs to be done to get people to that point to where everything can be put on that even plain. His statements involved the fact of how many wonderful oppertunities are out there etc to go to school and do something with yourself. I honestly just see it as a problem on the basis that not enough take advantage of it sense there is no real way to end the bad cycle but to turn it into a good one by people going to school, getting good jobs and then passing out down through their family while being able to provide.
While i honestly have better things to do then blame anyone i still think it holds it's place, and while it may be racist to have black only funds etc i'm pretty sure the people donating to it are prodominately black. Now i won't say all because that would be quite foolish but hopefully you get the idea. Oh, and once again i really don't think this strictly applies to black people alone.
