Some who wants to seriously build a "drift" track, needs to build a track for shiftercart, auto cross, gymkhana, maybe some sort of road racing(open track time thing) depending on the size. make your money that way and hold your drift practices during the week and dont hope to make money on them. becuase if you build it for drift you will not make money this is america, and this is Fl.

^ that's what i live on. Autoxing and drift. There's enough oval and straight tracks, we need other types. Central florida has small rolling hills.

$3 mill is exaggeration. I believe 1 mill should be enough.

If you have at least $3M, patience and a pair of solid balls....
well said, the truth is harsh! i think our only chance is sponsors, sponsors can def. help make this happen...make calls?!?! QSL! lol

dont know if anyone said this or not, but ill say it again, lots of money up front for such a track, and no money in return, bad investment. also the liability and insurance you have to carry is outrageous and doesn't make it work it really.

^ we all were aware of that.
Insurance is always expensive. Almost everything requires insurance to own or operate. No one wants to pay it, money thrown out the window.

lol.

It's enough to make a shotty half-assed attempt at it, sure.

But it doesn't matter, there are several threads like this every year, this one just happens to be the first one discussed in 08. It would be nice to see someone really do it, but it'll never happen.
