noise and zoning i think i have down cost to drive? lol 130 dollars? are you crazy it would be more that 40 or 50 for the whole day like i said im not out for money the property is paid off and has a sucessful buisness on it and he practicly owns half of mulberry i have to call his friend allen hall to see about zoning. i already know the neighbors wont care because when i lived there i was drifint all the time and they came out and watched. enviromental things might be a problem but i dont see too much of one considering they drift all the time with nopi nationals and what not...what do they do different than us?

This evening, the people who had setup past events should be on here to give you concrete answers.
BTW, if you need bleacher seatings for spectators, let me know, my company makes them to custom specs.

It's close to home for the majority of us, St. Petersburg, so distance isn't the issue, it was the driving cost. peple were scared & poor, and also too stubborn to realize that it was a good deal.

I wonder if it's possible to have such a event to where drivers and spectators attend the event at their own risk. This might throw out insurance cost and coverage completely.
not entirely true. there was a nopi event that weekend i believe and something else close to same date. that cost is a little high but if i goto moroso to drift, its still what like 75 and then hotel and gas money to get there?

rather have one in my backyard for ~100 then drive 3 hours for 75$ entry.

^ I agree too. That's why i support your idea. But wish it was a little closer to home.
Yeah, i did hear there was a event on the same day. But still, people who didn't go to the other event, didn't register. I will count as one of them. My car needed a new turbo, untuned, and a sh1t load of other issues. But she will be ready in a few weeks.

Moroso Track idea expense
Cheap 1 room hotel = $50
Fuel = $50
Driving fee= $75
Total = $175.00
The frustration of traffic, 6 hours of driving (to & back), risk of being stopped by hwy trooper = ??? no one knows, could be a hundred more for a disfunctional tail light.

Moroso is $100, but not for you Jason. We got vip son, nopi drivers drive for free. Anyway, going to Moroso was usually like $200 for me towing and not staying in a hotel. It sucked, but it's an actual track with somewhat high speed entry.

Good luck with it, it's not easy.

Aside from proper zoning, you'll need the correct permits. Most counties require what's called a 'High Intensity Recreation' Permit. The process to scoring that permit takes 6 months to a year depending on the county's schedule. You'll have to pay for traffic, drainage and run-off studies.

You have to create proper proposals and not only present them to county officials, but you have to hold at least two public hearings for county residents.

Also...laying 5+ acres concrete/asphalt isn't cheap. If you want it to last more than ~2 years, you'll have to use someone who lays the right type of surface....if you use the standard street surface formula, expect to be picking up chunks of your asphalt after your first month of operation.

Expect to spend at the very least $1M to barely get it done.

If you have at least $3M, patience and a pair of solid balls...let me know and I'll get it done for you by next summer.
