Hey everyone it's me Miles, I am here to re assure everyone THERE IS INSURANCE. I use the tracks insurance company. ThIS IS NO NEW TRACK THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR A VERY LONG TIME. They have insurance to cover whatever event they choose. The medical covers somewhere between 10 and 20
grand for medical. If you wreck your car that is solely on YOU. But the only reason MY EVENT IS CHEAPER THAN OCALA is because I realize all of us who drift are not rich. It's bad enough we have to pay for so many tires etc.. We drift because it's a passion. I am all for the evolution and the growth of the sport I want eveyone to get better and have fun. I choose Ocala over Lakeland because of Course Layout. Nothing else. Have YOU been to Ocala? Have YOU drifted your car at any event? Hmmmmm

 

That's cool man, i'm not out to shut down ocala. Why not make it to both events. starting Feb 4th at 6:00 p.m. were going to be having Friday night lights a bi-monthly drift night. I haven't drifted in any of the ocala events due to personal circumstances (that i do not wish to discuss).

 

This is why I practice and attend the events in Ocala. I don't want to hit any walls, so until I'm more advanced I won't be going to Lakeland.

 

I considered Lakeland night events, but it doesn't add up for me.

I get off @ 6pm. I work in N St Pete. Friday Traffic to Lakeland = 1.5 hours if not more. I need to change clothes, and possibly tires. By 8-8:30pm, I may be ready. Event is over at midnight. Tire wear is MORE @ lakeland than OCala.

So explain, how do you safely accomidate those showing up late? They will miss TECH, and the drivers meeting. either way, there are too many questions that remain.

 

lol he is just simply stating that there is an insurance deal with lakeland... he is not trying to shut out dg trials or d1 for god sakes... he is letting everyone know that his event has insurance or whatever because i think all we read about lakeland events is HEY COME TO LAKELAND $30....

honestly i dont know jackshit about required insurance for events like this but give the gyu a break he is trying... theres a difference between cheating and now knowing...

as far as drifting at lakeland... there are turns you can drift without hitting stuff...also lakeland is a very basic track if you look at it... use it wisely and it wont be as hard as trying to drift at ocala... lakeland teaches the basics...

also i am not hating against the ocala track... i love that track thats basically wher ei started to really drift my car.. dday1 was spinouts, dday2 was just not even a drift place for me lol it all started in ocala...

just financially and location and other b.s i have to deal with before i even get to ocala is the problem... nothing else besides i love going up hills

perhaps myles can make a deadline time to chek in and get teched... or perhaps he might have one of his fellow work people to stay at the gate and monitor the late coming drivers and get them up to date on tech and driver meeting...

 

Who said I don't 'practice' on the streets? My issue with lakeland is:
1. Time (6pm is not do-able for me)
2. Course Layout.

 

Don't worry about timing, I promise you all who show up late will still be driving just fine I will pause the event you will come into the pits the event will resume and you will be teched there. We'll switch up the lay out just come out if you can if you can't no big deal.
