What did you learn?
from dday4 experience... i say this because this is the only event where we had the same venue... so compare yourselves from dday3 and dday4 and how you improved or how you might change a few things...
myself after numerous rides with tony shultz he said that i need to initiate farther from the turn, getting the car to slide isnt a problem for me anymore, its controlling the transitions to combo the track... he also mentioned that my hands are going nuts on the steering wheel and i just need to moderately steer and calm down hehe...
i also learned that i need better tires in the back... idk if its the hicas or what but i can get into a slide and get angle and usually it should kick back but i just end up spinning out! probably a tire situation, i keep the slide going with numerous clutch kicks...
overall i am comboing long portions of the track now and i am learning, i love it!!!! i am in the process of uploading video btw if anyone has video upload space letme know...

and yes, i have ridden with some people and it seems there is alot of wheel action going on. you basically need to slow your thinking down and concentrate on what you want the car to do. the better you get the smoother you will be inside the car and the smoother your drifts will become. i know i'm not sponsored and all but i know just as much as Tomy and eric so if anyone has any questions i will be happy to answer them.

I already mentioned it in an earlier post....but before DDAY 4, I had never e-braked. Swithing to the Falken Azenis in the second session forced me to learn how to e-brake, and quickly. I than used the newly aquired e-brake skills to "Rock out with my Cock out" in the 3rd session.
Overall....I hope to build on what I have learned on my first attempt at drifting.
I think everybody did awesome....

i learned how to keep sliding to make a transition, or to complete a turn with a really early entry. what i mean is that i learned how to link the last two turns (90 deg left and the hard right, which was that last turn) just by watching my speed out of the first and giving the ebrake a few pulls to keep my angle just right... only really pulled it off on the last two runs, but hey, ill rock it out next time!

This was my first time drifting ever.
I really had no idea what to expect, but Tony did show me a lot.
I learned I need to pull the ebrake before I start the turn.
I wasn't holding the ebrake long enough either.
I learned I need to get LSD or weld my diff (I plan on getting another daily driver)
I know i need to get some stickier tires up front.
I'm not sure how to counter the MAJOR understeer I had....I know that the s13 has a lot of it..but I've never experienced it like that before.
Drift bible even said s13 had tons of understeer..but sheesh.
When Tony got behind the wheel of my car and was drifting all over the place, I was having too much fun to really pay attention to what he was doing and when, I was just enjoying the ride!
I also learned I need to get more supportive seats, I was sliding all over the place in my car.
I don't think I was confident enough to counter steer as much as I should have. I was letting the car do most of the steering for me (less grip on the wheel to let it spin)
but damn, talk about a fun sport. More rush than a roller coaster
