I think the short wheel base of the miata just makes it seem like the rear end doesn't hang out as much, and makes it look twitchy. I want to go out and try to drift in a 240sx next time and see if it feels any smother.

<--------------------- blue S13 coupe on gold stock alloys/DT05R's here

biggest thing i picked up from this event was e-brake technique. for the final tight turn especially i found that carring a good bit of speed out of the previous turn then starting my drift very early (just over half way between the 2 turns) and dragging the ebrake until corner entry really made that whole turn a lot better. a close 2nd is just trainsitions, i know most of my problem in transitions is the fact that i'm running crappy tires with bigass sidewalls in the rear, but i figure if i can work with those it will be that much easier once my spare wheels come in.

this was a kickass event and i had a blast, and thanks for the kind words from those who gave them. i'm feeling more and more comfortable with it and this being only my 2nd time out i'm already hooked. hopefully there will be a couple of events at OGP next year because it's a great setup and between DG and the track owners everything went like clockwork.

I wonder how much of a difference it will be once I get my diff welded or I get a 2way lsd and some lower series tires, and stickier tires in the front.
open diff sucks.
I know around the 2nd to last turn my inside tire was spinning like crazy.

but damn, I am so in for the next event.
I prereg'd kinda late for this event.
next time I am for sure going to be doing it on the first day.

NO chance i'm missing that chance
