i have to be impartial in my opinion because i think the best drifters at d-day1 were me Goeffre and Funk just cause we went out there with close to nothing invested into our cars and made the guys in the turbo cars look so/so. you have to be able to tell the Driver from the car. hell, give me 360rwhp and i'll look like a god too. i'm not saying they didn't ahve any skill, but the guys terrin it up with out a turbo get more respect from me for goin out with a underprepared car and kickin ass!!!!!

 

I saw a few episodes of initial d and thought it was a neat. It didn't make me go out and drift. I have no desire to either. I'd rather watch my friends go out and look good. I'll just continue trying to going really super fast.

 

Yes, Turbo's help.....but I pretty much stick by my decision. Gary was the one in the Black S14. The decision between 2nd and 3rd place was a hard one....but Jay kicked ass Hands down.

And yes, it does take more to drift with a "unprepared" car, but I judged on "Overall" Style.

Initial D is a pretty cool show. I liked the way the did the cars in the older stages, but everything else looks better now.

If you call drifting a 240 hard you have never tried to drift a turbo miata. All it wants to do is loop around. So by what you said I think maby the most props go to the noble and S2000 for being the hardest cars to drift the miatas for being next hardest then the corollas and last all the 240sx.

 

hey moffet stop trying to steal the spotlight. he said people who were actually drifting, not spinning out. did u notice how many people with 240sx couldnt slide. its not "easy" to drift a 240.

 

I just think it is funny that he thinks it is unfair to compair a turbo 240 with a N/A 240. But it is just fine to compair a 240 against a miata. The winner is the one that puts on the best show. Not the one that is most skilled. That is what drifting is all about. Well not really it is all about having fun. If I sucked I don't care. I had fun.

We'll see how the RWD/AWD CRX works, but I predict the Miata will seem like a piece 'o cake after that.

By "Gary" do you mean "Tony"? He had the black S14 and did some tandem stuff with Erik.
