1 reckless
1 careless
2 speeding
1 street racing

3 of which were bullshit.

we always go out to the industrial parks, but there isnt a wide enough array of turns to get a lot better... always looking for new roads, but again, logic is the key.

1 street racing
1 speeding
1 trespassing
1 careless driving

If you do it in a construction site it is trespassing and you don't want to open up that can of worms.

how are you supposed to get better without practice? are you supposed to practice at the one event held every four months?

Oh yeah...definitely stick to unpopulated areas late at night, rain is your friend...not only for tire wear and ease of sliding, but the whole tire noise thing is a biggie...squealing tires and smoke attract interest.

I dunno about solo though, I always preferred to drift with somebody else...it's always good to have an extra person/car around for the unexpected....especially if you're far from civilization.

...and setting up cameras and stuff is a pretty dumb thing to do (20/20 hindsight and everything )

mike/moffett....those are all from drifting? Where did you guys end up getting tagged?

first off, there is not this 1 event every four months mentality.

what is the date

february 21st was DDAY

then March 14th was Miami slide, LESS THAN A MONTH LATER

Then April 2nd we have Drift Miami florida's first competition for drifting!!

After that April 25th there is another Miami slide event.

Then we are announcing an event in Tampa in mid to late May.

At the end of may you have Drift Showoff presented by Falken Tires and Slipstream!!

So don't even go on here saying there is one drift event every four months. How about 6 EVENTS in FOUR MONTHS

that's more like it

And we don't even have a monthly thing set up YET...

hmmmm,

6 events in 4 months. Thats really good. You get a little seat time at each one with no worries about wrecks or cops. And it doesnt really cost much.

Here's the problem, Illegal drifting if FREE, you aren't limited to runs, and you can street drift in a wide range of conditions in one night. You're right the down side to it is definitely fear of the man and breaking stuff. I've broken about $500 worth of parts since december. I'm not gonna totally stop learning but I've cut down alot and become smarter.

If I only did it at events it would take forever to get good. I'm willing to accept the relatively low risk of street drifting once and a great while.

I'm sure everyone in no ants has done alot of street drifting. If everyone had sat around waiting for events you would all suck at it.

I like the way Bill explained it alot more. Props for being useful.

I see drifting like smoking pot, it's really tough to get caught and the penalties aren't that severe when you do. It's not like you're out there robbing liquor stores. The cops don't have a drifting task force.
