There's really no reason it shouldn't be held on the oval. I don't know why you'd need so much power when the integra got around decently and I'm sure he could've made a few changes about his set up that would've made him get around even better. I'm not sure what kind of power he's making, but I don't think it's any insane amount for a GSR.

What I think is that it shouldn't be held on April 2nd and I think there should be better preparation. People practicing on the track with their cars, etc (if they're good enough).

ok the reason the Intagra got around so well is the FACT that the car started life as a FWD car. which means that most of the weight is over the front wheels. all he did was make it all wheel drive and disconnect the front drive shafts. but most of the weight is still over the front tires!! which means that the car will rotate around the front axis because there is almost no weight on the rear so no matter what the front willnot loose traction. you can't even caompare that car to a 240 or anyother rear drive car. the center of rotation is in a complately different spot so our cars will not act the same way around the big oval as his car. but with the right set up i'm sure that a KA will do pretty well, maybe PVC tires is a good idea!!! heheheh

I wasn't really comparing it. I was just saying, I am almost positive Bill could get around that track.

ok here's the deal

rob, yes people that rocked the mic at the tampa event will get invited automatically. whether they come or not that's their deal.

we just dont want people who have no business being out there finding their way into the wall. I could just see that being a disaster, especially when for many people these cars double as daily drivers / street cars.

I will make it around the track. trust me on this one. my 140 whp ka will manage to do it, so if I can, you guys can too. besides, you don't have to drift the WHOLE rear turns, you can start late, and drift the second half of the big turn so that you can continue comboing the infield.

cool matt, if you think a KA can get it done then i should be good, but one question, will there be any practice time before the actual drift competition. kinda like try out the course before the judges see you?
